Balance – Although I feel bad with all the imbalances that I had tolerated in my past years, it’s never good to dwell in the past. Here’s a cliche that I’d like to follow — too much of anything is unhealthy.

I feel blessed that even though there were tons of hurtful situations and/or happenings in the soon-to-be previous year, I was able to move without carrying the bad feelings into the coming year.

Surely, 2012 will be a year of taking risks because I’d be ‘following my heart’ most of the time. (Okay, that’s just my favorite quotation. I’m actually inspired by Seth Godin’s line on his post about failure and mistake: Go ahead, fail.)

Taking risks may lead me to failures but I am not scared because I know that there will be lessons to learn from all the experiences.

This is very sad news for me as one of many amazed Apply users. I know this time will come for him but I wasn’t really expecting it this soon. Part of me is happy because I know he left this world happy by leaving us with wonderful things that change how we live or life.

It was November last year when I first heard about Crowdbooster. They were very new and getting an account from them was quite frustrating. I had to wait for their approval after I sent my email requesting for an account. But looking back now, I can say that it was worth waiting for.

Crowdbooster has a lot of cool stuff and listed below are my favorite features:

1. Colorful Tweets Analytics

Who wouldn’t fall for this fancy and yet easy to understand analytics? You can see the total number of impressions and re-tweets at one glance! You can also tell by the size of the circle which tweets got replies.

Aside from the fancy looking UI, there are other useful tools for checking your tweets performance. There’s this Date of Tweets, report range into weekly, monthly, all recorded tweets, and/or custom date. Viewing the tweets on a table form is possible, too. Just click the Table and Crowdbooster will list down all your tweets according to the date you specified.

2. Cute Follower Growth Chart

TwitterCounter has it. SproutSocial has it. Hootsuite has it. The list can go on but seriously! This is the cutest chart that I’ve seen so far — simple but appealing. Another thing that I like about Crowdbooster’s follower growth is the daily reports of increase or decrease in followers. I find this useful especially if I want to know what exactly caused the increase or decrease in my followers.

3. Exportable Reports

Though I don’t have this feature in my personal account, I was given a chance to see an exported report from Crowdbooster. It basically put the report you see in the site dashboard to MS Excel – time when tweets were posted, the actual tweets, replies, retweets, and impressions. If you’re into measuring social media marketing efforts, Crowdbooster reports will make your job easy.

4. List of Top Retweeters

If you’re like me, you probably want to know who your top retweeters are. It may seem like a vanity meter but the point of knowing your retweeters is for you to take that step of thanking them and to convert that Twitter connection into human connection.

5. List of Influential Followers

I like checking out profiles of influential Tweeps because I learn a lot from them. I get to know good sources of articles/blogs, to follow more high-ranking Tweeps, to learn the tools they use, and a lot more. With Crowdbooster, I get to know my very own prominent followers! I don’t have to search around the net and take the risk of getting leading Tweeps but don’t share the same interests with me.

6. Crowdbooster Recommendation

Know the Best Time for YOU to Tweet! Crowdbooster analyze the performance of your previous tweets and give you suggestions of time when your followers are most active and schedule your tweets during that time.

So when I first saw this picture at Engadget live blogging, I was caught off-guard and thought I clicked the wrong link!

It’s a verrry nice surprise to see Steve Jobs though! This is the first time I attended an Apple’s product launch (virtually, as in online) and it was an experience both fulfilling and unforgettable.

I couldn’t imagine the feeling if I was physically present while watching Steve Jobs with his latest Apple-of-the-eye iPad 2!

But it would certainly double my excitement over the awesome iPad2 because of Steve Jobs! Hah! Gotta problem with that?

Apple Marketing Magic

Since I started reading (no, devouring) any stuff I could find about marketing and social media marketing, the one thing that always seemed to shine among the rest is Apple — and its magic used on marketing each new product.

I once read an article about Steve Jobs and Apple. “Launch like Steve Jobs: 7 Ways to Build Buzz for Your Next Product Launch”

#1: Put the Focus on the People, Not the Product!

This line has more impact than anything I had read. Specific questions must always have answers.

What is it for me? What is it for the consumer? How can this product help improve everybody’s lives?

I know! Almost all marketers do – would like to do that! So what’s with Apple? How do they apply this strategy? Here, I tried spotting examples from iPad 2 launch:

1. Showing video of how people are using iPad.

• iPad for schools and hospitals – how iPad is helping Autistic children.
• Doctors spending more time with their patients, showing medical results via iPad.
• Read, Write, and Connect to the internet anytime and anywhere – coffee shops, restaurants, camping trips, and may more.

After watching about the iPad, I couldn’t help but think, “How could iPad 2 get more awesome than that?”

2. Demo time for iPad 2 new cameras – See how this dual camera iPad would blow your mind.

• Now it’s easy-and-possible to do FaceTime call from iPad 2 to iPhone and iPad 2 to Mac.
• See how wonderful interactive calls are. You just don’t hear your love ones’ voices — but with iPad, you can also see their faces in real time.

3. Consumer Focused Apps – iMovie & GarageBand

• Notice how Apple aims to make video editing as easy as typing and making music as easy as blogging! (Who could say no to this deal? With only $4.99 each, everyone can enjoy editing videos and creating music!)

4. Positioning iPad as post-PC devices.

• Apple’s vision is for tablets to be easier to use than personal computers. And surely, that is iPad’s purpose because it’s way easy to bring a tablet anywhere than a desktop computer (of course!), laptop and netbooks.
